Modular, Playful, Colorful: The Nidi Collections
16/05/2019 – An iconic concept of the world of comic books becomes the headliner of Nidi’s stand at Salone del Mobile. An onomatopoeic WOW surprises and engenders enthusiasm in visitors of the Nidi installation. Michele Rosolen, the brand’s marketing director, presents the collection’s distinctive and reasoned renewal through the novelties by studio dogtrot, Studio Lido, Tormena-Neadesign, Nidi studio and designer Valeria Carlesso.
Seven spaces welcomed the public, furnished and personalized with all the latest trends in the ever-evolving world of kids and teens. Panels and boiserie, cabinets ready to host all technological must-haves, bench/bookcase systems, enveloping head boards, and new collections to assemble one’s bedroom with the utmost freedom.
As far as new systems go, the Dots collection by dogtrot is made up of perforated panels that lightly and intelligently liven up the space. The boiserie that goes with the smooth or upholstered Becky panels can be accessorized with shelves, object holders and removable mirrors which are easily repositioned to give the right rhythm and color to the walls. The collection’s new legs, in metal or wood, can also be applied to bedside table, bed and wardrobe to create a homogenous look.
Loop is the multifunctional system by Valeria Carless, answering teenagers’ need for keeping their belonging close at hand. Open and light, the collection goes beyond the limits of a classic wardrobe: thanks to the bespoke metal junctions it is possible to put together wardrobes, dresser and bookcases in a single space, integrating mirrors, pockets, felt object holders, shelf clips and TV hook, or even clothing cabinets and writing desk.
Among the latest additions there is also the Niko bedside table and the Dory benches by Nidi Studio, the Tube fabric-lined tubular metal bed, and the Wally wall panels designed by Tormena-Neadesign. The young Studio Lido designed three new rounded head boards, Chubby, Regular and Club, whose delicate lines allow the user to personalize a bed with quilted profiles.
Valeria Carlesso also contributes the Regoli set to the catalogue. The collection is made up of sectional and stackable modules that make organizing your space a game, playing with parallelepipeds of different heights and colors. The designer also signs the birch Jack modules with integrated speaker niches and wireless chargers, as well as the metal Boxy cabinets.
New textures and colors for wallpapers and fabrics by dogtrot are also added, marked by new patterns and prints that recall hand-drawn illustrations.
